Dagmar Champions
Each dane produced has been considered a champion in our hearts. Now, just playing your cards right and finding the judges who agree is where the work begins. Showing is not for the faint of heart. It is a subjective sport based on a judge's opinion of what he/she interprets from the written word (standard). Not all judges are created equal. Some are better at the art & craft of choosing a quality balanced dog. I've learned through the years that as an exhibitor you need to keep an open mind and continually learn how to improve your skills. I also learned quickly that if you are showing a dog you need to have a thick skin to handle all that comes with winning because like all sports there are plenty of bad sports out there ready to try to tear down a winning dog whether he/she is a great and deserving dog or not.
